Job Description Job Description Louisiana Nurse Staffing is currently seeking a skilled and motivated CT Technologist for a 13-week contract in Metairie, Louisiana. This position offers three night shifts, working 12-hour rotations, providing a crucial role in delivering quality imaging services to our patients. This job has certification in Radiography and is responsible for assessing patients and safely performing routine radiographic procedures in accordance with prescribed safety procedures and protocols. In addition, the technologist has been trained successfully and registered in the additional modality. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must be proficient with Windows-style applications, various software packages specific to role and keyboard. Strong interpersonal skills. Knowledge of procedures and technical language Ability to work with and maintain strict confidentiality. Ability to work efficiently and calmly under pressure. Ability to work self-directed and to function without direct supervision. Ability and willingness to have and maintain flexibility in work duties and hours (may require flexible schedule such as nights, evenings, weekends, holidays, extended shifts, etc.). General knowledge of anatomy as required for specific radiology modalities. Skills to preliminarily identify abnormal findings as required for specific radiology modalities. Job Duties Verifies physician order and procedure to assure accuracy. Utilizes radiology information systems to facilitate care. Explains procedure to patient to ensure understanding. Independently operates equipment to complete imaging procedure according to protocol (including placement of IV). Reviews patient images prior to transmission to ensure images meet diagnostic quality standards. Completes timely quality control procedures in accordance with regulatory standards and performing notification/remediation as warranted. Assists in the facilitation of departmental operations (inventory, staff schedules, equipment maintenance, etc.). Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, including but not limited to: respect for privacy, method of introduction to the patient, adapting explanation of services or procedures to be performed, requesting permissions and communication style. Performs other related duties as assigned. Responsibilities Perform CT scans in accordance with physician orders Ensure patient comfort and safety during imaging procedures Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare professionals for accurate diagnostics Maintain and operate CT equipment, ensuring quality imaging results Adhere to safety protocols and infection control measures Requirements 2 Years Experience Required Saturday and Sunday, will work solo on weekend shift but on call tech will be available if needed Hospital and outpatient
