Medical Temporaries, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced ***Patient Care Coordinator***. 

• Minimum six months of experience required working in a medical front desk environment

This is a FULL TIME/LONG TERM TEMP (6 months or longer) position for a growing podiatry office located in Richmond, VA. Must be willing to travel between West End/ Richmond and Mechanicsville offices. 

Schedule:

• Monday: Mechanicsville – 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Tuesday: West End/Richmond – 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Wednesday: Mechanicsville – 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Thursday: West End/Richmond – 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Friday: Location alternates between Mechanicsville and West End/Richmond – 8:00 AM–2:00 PM

Responsibilities:

A Day in the life of a Patient Care Coordinator:

In this role, you'll be instrumental in facilitating seamless patient visits and delivering unparalleled customer service. Key duties involve expediting check-ins and check-outs, managing copays and balances, and leveraging AI tools to optimize patient satisfaction. Responsibilities:

• Extend a warm and hospitable welcome to arriving patients, fostering a comfortable environment.

• Streamline patient check-ins with precision, verifying data accuracy and securing required documentation promptly.
• Collect copays and outstanding balances in accordance with established payment protocols, ensuring adherence to policy.
• Employ AI technology to optimize patient interactions, heightening overall satisfaction and efficiency.
• Coordinate seamlessly with medical personnel to uphold smooth patient flow, minimizing wait times.
• Manage appointment scheduling and follow-up arrangements meticulously, maintaining an orderly calendar.
• Offer guidance to patients completing necessary paperwork, ensuring thoroughness and accuracy.
• Field incoming calls, promptly addressing inquiries or routing them to appropriate staff members.
• Uphold strict confidentiality and HIPAA compliance while maintaining patient records.
• Liaise with billing specialists to resolve any payment or insurance-related concerns.
• Contribute to a pristine reception area, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
• Stay abreast of podiatry advancements and industry trends, providing informed assistance to patients and visitors.

Requirements for the Patient Care Coordinator:

• Completion of high school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework in healthcare administration or a related field is advantageous.

• Demonstrated track record in a similar capacity, preferably within a healthcare or medical environment.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication proficiencies, adept at fostering connections with patients through empathy.
• Meticulous attention to detail paired with exceptional organizational abilities.
• Proficiency in utilizing technology, including AI systems and electronic medical records (EMR).
• Capable of multitasking and effectively prioritizing duties in a fast-paced setting.
• Maintains a consistently positive and professional demeanor, even when faced with challenges.
• Familiarity with insurance policies and procedures is considered a valuable asset.

Benefits:

• $15.00 - $17.00 an hour
