Job Title

RN - Acute Care / Admissions Pending Unit

Contract | Days | 36 hours/week | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | 26-Week Assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within a newly established Admissions Pending Unit at a Level II Trauma Center
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for acute care patients
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient admissions and transitions of care
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Epic EMR
• Float to other units as needed based on staffing requirements
• Adhere to holiday scheduling requirements as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Active Kansas state license or valid multistate (Compact) RN license — no pending licenses accepted
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required at time of submission
• ACLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required at time of submission
• Clean license history — no hits on license; no exceptions
• Prior travel nursing experience required — no first-time travelers
• All required licensure and certifications must be current and submitted at time of profile submission; no pending credentials accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Epic EMR
• Background in acute care or medical-surgical nursing
• Familiarity with admissions workflows and patient throughput processes
