Physical Therapy Assistant - LTAC | Waterville, ME | Start 08/10/2026 | 13 weeks travel assignment | $1,381–$1,425 per week | 35 guaranteed hours | Shift: 5x8 Days, 08:00–16:30 | Skilled nursing, long-term care setting

Responsibilities
- Provide PTA services under supervision of a licensed PT, following the established plan of care
- Guide and assist residents through therapeutic exercises, range-of-motion, strength and balance activities
- Facilitate gait training, transfer training, and functional mobility to support independence
- Monitor patient response to treatment, document progress, and communicate updates to the PT and care team
- Collaborate with nursing and therapy colleagues; participate in discharge planning and patient/family education as directed
- Maintain equipment, ensure safety, and uphold infection control and documentation standards

Requirements
- Active Physical Therapy Assistant license in Maine or eligible to practice in Maine
- Graduation from an accredited PTA program (associate degree)
- Experience in long-term care, LTAC, or skilled nursing settings preferred
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary care environment
- Eligible for a travel assignment and reliable transportation to the work site
