Civil Engineer - Senior Transportation Project Manager

What You’ll Do as the Transportation Senior Project Manager You will oversee and mentor multiple Project Managers across various offices while managing and tracking the department's backlog. Manage client relationships, cultivating new business connections, and collaborating with the Business Development Team to identify IDOT PTB items to pursue. Managing PMs current IDOT Phase I and II engineering projects as well as County and Municipal Transportation projects. Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, ensuring satisfaction, retention, and alignment with business objectives. Monitor and manage the transportation department's backlog, ensuring accurate tracking, prioritization, and timely resolution to meet operational goals. What you will need to thrive in this role: Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) License in the state of Illinois or ability to obtain Education: A Bachelors degree in Engineering (Civil Engineering is preferred) Experience: 15+ years of experience working on IDOT roadway and bridge design projects, and managing/mentoring civil engineering staff Location: Schaumburg, IL - Hybrid schedule Software skills: Microsoft 365 and Adobe (AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred) Adaptability: excel at adapting to changing project requirements.
