Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Maintenance to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department, ensuring the physical building meets all safety and building codes, and overseeing routine equipment and systems maintenance schedules.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for all service and repair tasks as assigned
• Operates the maintenance department in a safe manner, ensuring compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations and following established policies and procedures
• Ensures the physical building meets all safety and building codes
• Schedules vendors and contractors for necessary building repairs and emergencies outside the scope of routine maintenance
• Assists in emergency situations related to the physical plant and acts as the facility's safety officer
• Monitors and follows regular equipment and systems maintenance schedules
• Works with department heads to ensure routine maintenance in Resident care areas does not interfere with the care or safety of Residents
• Operates the Maintenance Department within budgetary guidelines and limitations
• Completes annual performance reviews of all subordinate staff and provides guidance and education to staff in regards to their performance
• Responsible for training and educating staff members
• Maintains the comfort, privacy, and dignity of Residents and interacts with them in a manner that displays warmth, respect, and promotes a caring environment
• Communicates and interacts effectively and tactfully with Residents, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 3 years' experience working in a building maintenance capacity

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5 years' experience in a facilities maintenance role
• Associates degree in construction technology or similar field
