A Layup Team member will rotate to each job upon building 15 stacks containing 30 doors per stack.Review Traveler Ticket to verify correct door size and stile sizeConduct visual inspection of door parts and ensure each part is free of defects (Stile, Rail, Lock Block, and Core)Ensure consistent feeding of parts through feeder in the following order: 1) Stile 2) Rail 3) Lock Block 4) and Core Maintain consistent pace of the Top Door Builder.Ensure adherence to the daily Production Building ScheduleEnsure work area is cleaned at the end of each shiftPanel FlipChecks door skins for defects to ensure qualityMaintains work pace of the Door BuildersEnsure adherence with daily Production Building ScheduleEnsure work area is cleaned at the end of each shiftDoor BuildAssembly of interior doors by assembling Door Skins, Stile, Rail, Lock Block, and Core.Ensure all parts are in correct positions of doorConduct visual check of all parts for defectsMaintain a work pace of 30 assembled doors per 8:30 minutesEnsure work area is cleaned at the end of each shiftSorterReview part numbers on the Traveler TicketInspect all parts for defectsRemove any parts found with defects and record scrap on tracking documentPlace Stile, Rails, Lock Block & Core on parts cart in correct positions and quantitiesEnsure work area is cleaned at the end of each shiftQualifications:Attendance/Punctuality – Is consistently at work and on time.Dependability – Follows instructions, responds to Team Leader and Supervisor direction.Quantity - Meets productivity standards; Completes work in timely manner; Strives to increase productivity; Works quickly.Quality - Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness.Teamwork – Balance Team and individual responsibilities.Ability to read, write, and do basic mathematicsAble use a tape measure for accuracyPhysical DemandsAbility to lift and carry up to 50 pounds repetitivelyAbility to be on your feet (standing and walking) for up to 4 hours at a timeAbility to perform a job that include repetitive pushing, pulling, and liftingAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain pace of a TeamWhy Clayton?Full-time team members have the flexibility to create their own health, dental, and vision benefits package.
