Location: Cressona, PA, US, 17929 Career area: Maintenance Department: Assistant Manager Job type: Permanent Starting rate of pay: $28.58 – $42.00 per hour Shifts available and hours: Night shift, 5:50 pm–6 am on an EOWEO/2‑2‑3 rotation (you may be trained on day shift but will work night shift afterward) Shift premium: $1.00 per hour for shift differential Benefits Retention Bonus (for external hires) Medical, Rx, Dental, Disability, Life Insurance, Flexible Spending Accounts Retirement Savings Plans with Company Match/Contributions Education Assistance Bonus Plan Eligibility Referral Bonuses Parental Leave On‑site Gym & Cafe Responsibilities Diagnose complex equipment failures, troubleshoot for root cause, and develop solutions using scientific methods and tools such as prints, sketches, manuals, diagnostic equipment, and machinery knowledge. Safely dismantle, adjust, repair, and operate complex equipment using hand and power tools, cranes, and hoists, often involving complex rigging. Apply knowledge of mechanics, welding, pipefitting, hydraulics, and other crafts to efficiently repair or maintain complex equipment daily. Complete work in a timely manner, often without direct supervision; organize work for maximum efficiency and adjust priorities based on plant needs. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Education/Experience A Mechanical Technical Degree or certificate equivalent with at least 1‑year practical experience, and/or 3‑5 years of practical experience in an industrial setting. Strong ability to read, comprehend, and interpret schematics, loop drawings, P&IDs, and other technical resource manuals. Preferred Skills/Qualifications Successfully complete knowledge and skills assessments and participate in training initiatives to maintain and improve skills within required time frames. Self‑motivated with strong problem‑solving skills capable of efficiently troubleshooting machinery, tooling, process control loops, and other instrument device failures.
