Server Assistant @ Catch 31 Hilton Virginia Beach OceanfrontPosition OverviewJob Title: Server AssistantLocation: 3001 Atlantic Ave, Virginia Beach, VA 23451Schedule: Variable or Part-Time (must include weekends and holidays)Work Environment: Oceanfront hotel right on the boardwalkSummary:The Server Assistant plays a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness and organization of tables and dining areas in a restaurant. They support the server before, during, and after service with clearing dishes, maintaining a clean and presentable dining room, resetting tables for new guests, and assisting with various tasks to execute exceptional service.What You'll Do:Table Setup and Maintenance:Clear tables of used dishes, glassware, and utensils promptly after guests have finished their meals.Wipe down tables, chairs, and condiment holders to remove crumbs, spills, and debris.Reset tables with clean tablecloths, napkins, and tableware for incoming guests.Beverage and Condiment Refills:Refill water glasses, bread baskets, and condiment containers as needed throughout service.Assist servers in delivering beverages, appetizers, and other items to tables as directed.Assistance to Servers:Support servers by running food orders from the kitchen to the appropriate tables.Communicate with serving staff to coordinate table turnovers and ensure efficient service.Respond to guest requests for additional items such as extra napkins, utensils, or condiments.Cleaning and Sanitization:Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of dining areas, including floors, windows, and furniture.Empty trash bins and bus carts regularly to keep dining areas clean and free of clutter.Adhere to sanitation and hygiene standards, including proper handwashing and food handling practices.Customer Service:Provide friendly and attentive service to guests, assisting with seating, menu inquiries, and other requests as needed.Communicate effectively with guests to ensure their satisfaction and address any concerns or special requests.Uphold a positive and welcoming atmosphere in the restaurant by greeting guests warmly and maintaining a professional demeanor.Teamwork and Collaboration:Work collaboratively with other front-of-house staff, including servers, hosts/hostesses, and bartenders, to deliver exceptional service.Assist coworkers during peak periods and contribute to a smooth flow of operations in the restaurant.Communicate effectively with management and colleagues to address any issues or concerns related to table service.We Live by Our \"TOP\" Values:T – TEAM UP: Collaborate, support others, and stay goldenO – OWN IT: Take pride, stay accountable, and never stop learningP – PASSIONATELY SERVE: Be positive, show you care, and create memorable experiencesWe're looking for team players who embody these values every day.QualificationsExperience in a hotel or related field preferred but not requiredMust have basic reading, writing, and math skills.Customer Focus: Passion for providing excellent customer service and creating memorable dining experiences for guests.Strong work ethic and willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environmentCommunication Skills: Clear and effective communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with guests and team members.Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order delivery and guest interaction.Physical Stamina: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift trays or other items weighing up to 25 pounds.Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.Why Work with Us?Competitive PayGo Hilton Travel Discounts for team members & eligible familyShamin Perks – Save on gym memberships, movie tickets, amusement parks, rental cars, and more$200 Referral Bonus after your referral completes 30 daysWork with an oceanfront view in a fun, fast-paced restaurantNote: This may be a seasonal or part-time position.
