Grounds Worker

Grounds Worker/LandscaperWoodfield Boca Raton is seeking a skilled Grounds Worker/Landscaper. Responsibilities include maintaining grounds and turf of golf course in playing condition as directed by supervisors. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:Must comply with all department policies and Standard Operating Procedures.Connects hose and sprinkler systems at designated points on course to irrigate turf.Digs and rakes ground to prepare new greens, grades and cleans traps, and repairs rosebeds.Plants, trims, and sprays trees and shrubs.Safety operates equipment and mowers and pluggers used for various course maintenance needs.Cleans machinery after each use.Inspects machinery/reports equipment problems to supervisor.Makes necessary minor adjustments to equipment.Loads and unloads materials.Trims trees and removes cuttings.Collects and empties litter cans.Cleans gutters, drains, and culverts.Cuts grass, weeds, and bushes.Operates turf vac, skip loader, fairway and rough aerifier.May operate smaller equipment as directed by his/her supervisor.Ensures that the equipment cooling system is working at all times; refills fuel and oil daily; cleans equipment daily, and reports equipment problems or failures to Equipment Manager immediately.Provides basic preventive maintenance on equipment as directed by the equipment manager or supervisor and returns equipment to the designated location at the maintenance facility.Performs other duties as directed by his/her supervisor.Requirements include the following:Must have good written and verbal communication skillsMust have valid and current Florida driver's licenseMust have experience with driving mowers, tractors, and push mowers.Woodfield Country Club proudly offers the following benefits:Complimentary Meals in Employee CaféEmployee Referral BonusBirthday RecognitionEmployee Social EventsDirect DepositOn-site ParkingIn addition to the benefits noted above, all Full-Time, year-round employees will be eligible to receive:Medical InsuranceDental InsuranceVision InsuranceCompany Paid Life InsuranceSupplemental Life InsuranceVoluntary Short Term Disability InsuranceVoluntary Long Term Disability Insurance401(k) Retirement Savings Plan with Club MatchPaid VacationPaid Personal Time OffPaid HolidaysWoodfield Country Club is a drug-free workplace, all candidates must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
