Part time Floater Assistant

Assistant Teacher We are currently seeking a professional and energetic part-time Assistant Teacher for our brand new location. Our Assistant Teachers are responsible for helping with general classroom management and supervision, which includes the personal care, hygiene, and positive discipline of the children. Assistant Teachers also support the classroom Lead teacher with implementing curriculum activities, completing classroom documentation and communicating with parents regarding children's progress and learning. Role Responsibilities: Partner with and learn from the teachers in your classroom to create a welcoming, engaging classroom space for children to learn, play and grow. Use a growth mindset to develop young minds and inspire a love of learning. Implement our proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum®, working with Infants, Toddlers, and/or Preschool children in a way that is consistent with the unique needs of each child. Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn. Communicate regularly with parents, sharing their children's latest adventures and achievements through a variety of avenues, including mobile apps and personal discussions. Support your center's success, partnering with center staff and leadership to achieve goals around enrollment and engagement. Build relationships with families and coworkers and create a dynamic environment where play and learning happen seamlessly. Assist and supervises children during all activities. Develops, plans, and prepares instructional aids/materials for classroom activities. Implements positive guidance practices and supports children's social emotional and development. Ensures that the appearance, cleanliness, and safe environment of the classroom are appropriately maintained. Helps children with meal times and clean-up. Helps with all school and classroom paperwork, such as daily notes, student accident reports, and attendance reports. Attends and participates in staff meetings, school-wide events, and parent meetings as requested. Helps prepare and implement classroom lesson plans, programs, and schedules. Ensures that all classroom and outdoor equipment are in good working condition and are used and maintained properly. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications: High School Diploma/ GED required. ECE coursework preferred. Must meet state specific guidelines for the role. Pleasant/friendly demeanor and an outgoing personality. Highly professional and dependable. Must be able to interact appropriately with students of all ages and skill levels as well as with parents, coworkers, and management. Must be able to lift no less than 40 pounds on a consistent basis throughout the workday to at least waist high.
