Construction Carpenter
Pay: $20.00–25.00/hour + $250 Weekly Per Diem
Hours: Monday – Saturday | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Location: Ruston, LA
Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Construction Carpenter to join a growing construction team in Ruston, LA. This position offers steady hours, competitive pay, and a $250 weekly per diem for qualified candidates. The ideal candidate will have experience with commercial or industrial construction, be dependable, and take pride in producing quality workmanship.
Job Responsibilities- Construct, install, and repair building frameworks and structures
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications
- Measure, cut, and assemble lumber and other building materials
- Install walls, floors, roofs, doors, windows, and trim
- Build and dismantle concrete forms and scaffolding as needed
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all OSHA safety standards and company policies
- Work effectively with supervisors and other trades on the job site
- Previous carpentry or commercial construction experience required
- Ability to read a tape measure and construction plans
- Proficient with common hand and power tools
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Reliable transportation to and from the job site
- Strong work ethic, attendance, and attention to detail
- Competitive pay: $20.00–25.00/hour (DOE)
