PetSmart offers four 10-hour weekday shifts, or three 12-hour weekend shifts. Shifts vary by location and may include shift differential pay. The Distribution Warehouse Material Handler plays a vital role in distribution center operations. This role supports the operations team by ensuring the quality and organization of materials.Material OrganizationOperates Reach Truck to gather, move and stack pallets to support an efficient and smooth operation.Operates Dock Stocker to unload, sort, and track all salvage returns from stores.Unload and lay down of pallets in reusable condition for order fill processing.Material RecyclingMove and stack recyclables to support an efficient and smooth operation.Remove corrugate, plastic, and debris from breeze ways containers, bins, gaylords, receptacles, docks, and bags to a level that additional items can be placed in these areas without spillage and run over.What we're looking forPassion for pets and people and the desire to grow a fulfilling career.High school diploma or equivalent preferredApply basic instructions and procedures and responds to standard requests which may be written, oral, by headset or walkie talkieAbility to bend, twist, stretch, push, pull and carry and lift up to 50 poundsComfortable alternating between standing, sitting and or walking for an entire shift which is typically 10-12 hoursWilling and able to operate powered industrial and mechanical equipment including but not limited to reach truck, standups, dock stocker and pushcarts *proper training and safety standards are providedWork in various temperatures and noise levelsDo what you loveWe are delighted you are interested in joining our pack and helping us in our commitment to doing Anything for Pets, and the people who love them.
