Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Days (11:00 AM – 11:00 PM) | 36 Hours/Week Guaranteed | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced, 32-bed Emergency Department serving a birth-to-death patient population
• Assess, triage, and manage patients presenting with a wide range of emergent conditions including strokes, STEMIs, and trauma
• Operate and monitor critical care equipment while maintaining patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:5
• Rotate weekend shifts on an every-other-weekend schedule and flex hours based on census as needed
• Float to other areas within the facility as competencies allow to support staffing needs
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Cerner EHR

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience, with emergency department background
• Current ACLS certification
• Current PALS or ENPC certification
• Current NIHSS certification
• Must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify for travel rates

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced emergency department setting
• Demonstrated experience managing stroke, STEMI, and trauma patients
• Strong critical care thinking skills with the ability to maintain composure and stamina in a demanding environment
• Energetic, patient-focused approach with excellent communication skills with patients and families
