Mechanical Assembly Technician

This role focuses on performing in-house mechanical modifications to electric motors according to customer specifications. You will assemble, disassemble, rework, and rebuild motors of various sizes using hand, power, and pneumatic tools in a manufacturing modification shop.

Shift: 1st

Hours: M-F 7 am- 3:30 pm.

Pay: $20-$22/ hour

Responsibilities

• Perform in-house modifications to motors.
• Disassemble motors, complete rework activities, and reassemble them to meet required specifications and modifications.
• Use standard hand tools, power tools, and air/pneumatic tools to perform all mechanical work on motors.
• Complete daily equipment checks to verify tools and machinery are in proper working condition.
• Perform housekeeping and shop organization tasks, following 5S practices to maintain a clean and efficient work area.
• Use Microsoft Office and/or SAP systems for reporting, tracking work orders, and documenting modification and inspection activities.
• Read and interpret modification orders and related documentation to ensure work is completed correctly and on time.

Essential Skills

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of experience in mechanical assembly and repair in an industrial, manufacturing, or similar environment.
• Proficiency in using standard hand tools for mechanical assembly and disassembly.

This is a Permanent position based out of Mechanicsburg, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.39/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
