Imagine a career where your actions give life to the hopes of countless individuals — truly making a difference as a Speech Language Pathologist in Philadelphia, a city renowned for its rich heritage and thriving cultural scene. Your role here will transcend mere treatment for communication and swallowing difficulties; it will be a transformative experience that fosters self-expression and strengthens bonds. From toddlers taking their initial steps into language to seniors navigating the nuances of speech after a setback, your work will create waves of positive change.
In this position, you'll engage with a diverse clientele, catering to various age groups in a flexible environment that skillfully combines outpatient focus with the occasional needs of inpatient care. Whether your expertise leans towards nurturing pediatric language skills, addressing adult communication challenges, or guiding seniors through cognitive-linguistic rehabilitation, you will find both fulfillment and adaptability in this role.
Description
- Conduct comprehensive assessments for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients utilizing both standardized tools and observational methods.
- Create tailored treatment plans focused on achieving both immediate and progressive communication or swallowing objectives.
- Deliver one-on-one therapeutic interventions aimed at enhancing language ability, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physical and occupational therapists, caregivers, and healthcare professionals, to ensure a unified approach to patient care.
- Educate patients and their families to further support rehabilitation efforts outside the clinical environment.
- Contribute to inpatient evaluations and interventions as needed, ensuring a seamless continuum of care.
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation that meets all regulatory standards.
- Engage in ongoing professional development, staying abreast of industry advancements and best practices.
Education
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.
Certifications
- State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of hire.
Skills
- Expertise in evidence-based treatment methodologies for all ages, showcasing a solid understanding of various speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Exceptional interpersonal communication proficiency with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to adjust therapy techniques to cater to varying cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
- Strong clinical judgment and innovative problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working with electronic health records and documentation protocols.
Benefits
- Attractive compensation package reflective of experience.
- Flexible scheduling that promotes work-life harmony and varied patient needs.
- Specialization opportunities in pediatrics, adult neuro rehab, or geriatrics.
- Paid time off (PTO) along with holiday pay.
- Options for medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.

- A collaborative environment that values quality care and lifelong learning.
A Career That Inspires Change — and Connects Communities
In this position, you will do more than just deliver speech therapy; you will join a mission to uplift voices, bolster communication, and craft moments of happiness through the profound connections of human interaction.
Work alongside fellow clinicians who treat one another with warmth and respect, in a supportive environment where competition takes a backseat to collaboration. Each patient has a unique narrative; we trust in your ability to help bring that narrative to life.

Perhaps you are skilled in pediatrics and are eager to include adult services in your repertoire, or you're focused on neuro-related care, looking to infuse early intervention techniques into your practice.
No matter your specialization, if you're ready to lead with compassion and skill, we are eagerly awaiting your arrival.
Let's Craft Meaningful Connection Together
If you understand that speech is beyond mere sound, and that therapy embodies more than assignments — if you believe in nurturing trust alongside progressing goals, and that laughter is as crucial as language — then this could be the next important chapter in your career journey.
