Bus Aide (Afternoon Only) 8-10 hours per week

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Bus Aide for the afternoon shift. This part-time position is essential for ensuring the safety and well-being of students during their transportation to and from school. The Bus Aide will assist the bus driver in maintaining a safe and orderly environment on the bus, providing support to students as needed, and ensuring a positive and respectful atmosphere.

Responsibilities
- Assist the bus driver in the safe loading and unloading of students at designated stops.
- Monitor student behavior on the bus to ensure compliance with safety regulations and school policies.
- Provide support to students with special needs or those requiring additional assistance.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding any concerns or issues that may arise during transportation.
- Maintain a clean and organized bus environment.
- Report any incidents, accidents, or unsafe conditions to the bus driver or transportation supervisor.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure the well-being of all passengers.
- Attend training sessions and meetings as required.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience working with children or in a transportation environment is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Ability to lift and assist students as needed.
- Reliable and punctual with a commitment to providing excellent service.
- Must be available for afternoon shifts, with flexibility to work additional hours if needed.
