The Department of Corrections is currently seeking a Welder to work in the fast paced, professional environment of the Eastern Kentucky Correctional Complex. Key Responsibilities may include: Supervise maintenance inmates Maintenance, repair and fabrication of assorted equipment. Work on projects and ensure the safety and security of the facility. Maintain records and inventory for operations. Minimum Requirements EDUCATION: High school graduate EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Two years of welding, welding technology, or welding fabrication experience. Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: Additional education in a related field will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis. Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Additional welding, welding technology, welding fabrication, or a related field will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): Must be 18 years of age.
