Responsibilities:

• Defend healthcare institutions and practitioners in medical malpractice lawsuits involving complex issues such as surgical errors, misdiagnoses, medication errors, and patient care disputes.
• Manage all phases of litigation including case evaluation, discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation.
• Work closely with partners, associates, and staff to develop case strategies and provide solutions tailored to each client's unique situation.
• Participate in mediations, arbitrations, and trial proceedings as needed.
• Maintain strong communication with clients, providing updates and managing expectations.
• Collaborate with colleagues across departments and contribute to firm projects.

Qualifications:

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in New Jersey.
• 5+ years of medical malpractice defense experience.
• Excellent legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage a full caseload while maintaining attention to detail and client needs.
• A collaborative mindset, eager to be part of a team and engage in mentoring relationships.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to delivering outstanding client service.
