Job description:Power Systems West is looking for an organized, service minded individual to be a Service Manager for our Generator Service Technicians, covering the Colorado market area. Our ideal candidate is a leader who has worked in fast paced service environment with varying competing demands from customers, service personnel, sales staff, and field staff.Power Systems West (PSW) is an Oregon based, family-owned business with a 70-year history and has been a KOHLER POWER distributor for the last 30 years. With over 70 employees and growing, PSW brings the stability and structure of an established business, while still valuing the individual team members that support our success and to be the go-to generator systems supplier in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Utah, Wyoming, Colorado, Montana and Alaska. Offering quality brands like KOHLER and Atlas Copco, the PSW team provides new equipment, service, parts, and rental power solutions for commercial, municipal, and residential facilities that require emergency generator back-up power.Our Service Manager works closely with our customers, service technicians, coordinators and customers both internal and external. Our technicians are provided extensive on-line and in person KOHLER factory level training.Job duties:Oversee scheduling of repairs and preventative maintenance jobs by Service Coordinators to ensure team of technicians are properly dispatched to jobs and scheduled within the required timeframe set by our customersLMA (Lead + Manage = Accountability)Manage Work in Process on a daily basis with Service coordinators and TechniciansTechnician productivityRecruit, Train, and Retain TechniciansDevelop and Coach Technicians and Service Coordinators to ensure Efficiency and AccuracyManage job issues and help resolve billing disputesManage service repair Quoting performed by Service CoordinatorsReview and Approve Service Technician hours on a daily basis in payroll system, to ensure accuracy andReview and Approve all Service Jobs from the prior day to send to Billing Dept for final invoicingCoordinate with Service Sales Team to ensure contract requirements are met and service levels are maintainedOversee new Service Technician training plans, to continue growth and development of team membersReview team financials on a monthly basis with Operations Director to ensure costs are managed and unbilled hours are reasonableWork closely with our Environmental Health & Safety Specialist to ensure facility is in compliance and safety and environmental concerns are addressed quicklyConduct monthly facility auditsCoordinate scheduling of branch Safety Meetings with EH&S Specialist and conduct weekly Safety and attend monthly Safety Committee MeetingsMaintain Clean and Organized FacilityRequired Skills/Experience3-5 years experience in the generator industry preferred.3-5 years of management experience with a team greater than 8 team membersThrough understanding of Technician Efficiency and ProductivityExperience with Hiring, onboarding, and training staff in various rolesExcellent Customer Service and Communication skillsExcellent organization and time management skillsExcellent understanding and execution of prioritization and sense of urgencyExcellent computer skills, including Excel and email program, such as OutlookMechanical interest and or work experience in Automotive, Engines, forklifts, Electrical field or other related industry is a plus, but not requiredThis role will be based in our Aurora, CO location and will work from the office on a daily basis to interact with and support our team.All PSW team members are expected to embrace and demonstrate our Core Values:ü Integrityü Safetyü Equityü Qualityü Fulfillmentü ProfitabilityAs a PSW team member, you will enjoy a total compensation package that includes competitive pay and benefits:§ Competitive Pay & Growth opportunities: Pay range for this role is $85,000-$100,000 total compensation, dependent on experience; Also includes use of a company vehicle§ Health & Wellness: medical insurance, dental, vision, life, employee assistance program and pet insurance§ Work/Life Balance: generous paid time off and holiday schedule§ Support: 401(k) plan with company match up to 4% of your income, tuition reimbursement, and training for professional developmentCandidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. All prospective employees will be subject to our pre-employment background screening process following acceptance of a job offer, including criminal background check, driving records, as well as education and work experience verification, depending on the position.We are a drug free workplace; drug and alcohol testing will be conducted as part of the post-employment offer process.Power Systems West is an equal employment opportunity employer.
