Candidates must have at least one year of relevant experience in a laboratory setting. Familiarity with specific equipment is desired, including Sysmex, Siemens, Iris, Vision, Genexpert, Sofia, Abbot, and Werfen. The work environment consists of a total of 200 beds with 34 staff members. Staffing includes supervisors and generalists on day, evening, and night shifts. Patient ratios and specific procedures will be typical for a generalist role. Adaptability to change and the ability to work as a team player are essential qualities for candidates. A background in blood banking is not necessary for this position. Candidates will be evaluated based on their familiarity with generalist procedures. Alternating weekends are required as part of the role. Additional unit guidelines and policies will be provided during orientation.
