Position: Lead Quality Specialist
Pay: $25.00-$29.00 per hour (Based on Experience)
Schedule: MondayFriday | 6:00 AM-3:00 PM or 7:00 AM-4:00 PM
Location: Camden, SC
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Lead Quality Specialist (Quality Lead Technician) to join a growing manufacturing team. This position is responsible for leading two Quality Technicians (1st and 3rd shift) while overseeing quality systems, calibrations, inspections, corrective actions, and quality documentation. The ideal candidate has strong manufacturing quality experience, leadership skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
-Supervise and support Quality Technicians across multiple shifts.
-Manage quality inspections, receiving inspections, and product containment activities.
-Perform measuring equipment and gauge calibrations.
-Review customer prints, maintain document control, and ensure compliance with quality standards.
-Investigate customer complaints and manage corrective action processes.
-Conduct QMS audits, safety audits, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
-Maintain quality records and nonconforming material documentation.
-Support manufacturing teams with quality-related issues and process improvements.
-Train new manufacturing employees on quality procedures and standards.
-Administer quality systems, including color management and inspection processes.
Qualifications:
-Minimum of 2 years of Quality Assurance experience in a manufacturing environment.
-1+ year of leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
-High school diploma required.
-Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
-Strong understanding of quality measuring instruments, including calipers, gauges, scales, and optical comparators.
-Experience with calibration, inspections, corrective actions, and QA methodologies.
-Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
-Experience with ISO 9001, Lean Manufacturing, 5S, ERP/MRP systems, or CQE certification is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
-Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
-Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with moderate noise levels.
-Must wear required PPE, including safety glasses and closed-toe shoes.
-Occasional local travel may be required.
Pre-Employment Requirements:
-Background check required (no recent violent, drug-related, or sexual offense convictions).
-Clean 5-panel drug screen required.
