Branch Sales Associate

Job Description Carrier Enterprise, a leading national distributor of residential and light commercial HVAC products, is seeking a Branch Sales Associate. The role serves as the face of our branch, providing exceptional customer service, product knowledge, and support to HVAC/R professionals and contractors. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting appropriate HVAC/R products and supplies. Accurately process customer orders, ensuring correct pricing and invoicing, and handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions. Maintain deep knowledge of the product inventory, including specifications, compatibility, and pricing, staying updated on industry trends. Monitor and replenish stock levels, conduct regular inventory counts, and report discrepancies to the store manager. Provide technical support, troubleshooting HVAC/R equipment and component issues. Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized counter area. Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation for customer transactions, including invoices, returns, and warranty claims. Occasional travel may be required for training sessions, professional development, meetings, or other work‑related activities. Qualifications Prior experience in customer service. Experience in leadership roles with profit and loss responsibility preferred. Experience leading people in a retail environment. Demonstrated ability to grow sales rapidly in a retail setting. Experience building and maintaining cross‑functional relationships. Experience analyzing customer, market, and competitor data to inform business planning. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with HVAC contractors. Computer literacy with proficiency in MS Office. Teamwork ethic and willingness to participate in a collaborative environment. Ability to function at an above‑average level in a technical environment. Experience using sales and/or inventory management systems. Requirements High School Diploma or GED equivalent; Associate’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred. Experience managing in a B2B environment in distribution or wholesale sales preferred but not required. Excellent relationship‑building skills; team builder and team player with a sales focus.
