Sentara CarePlex Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse for the intermediate Care - Stepdown Unit. City/State: Hampton, VA Work Shift: First (Days) 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM Responsibilities Assessing/admitting patients Rounding checks Giving medications Talking with family members Responsibility for the overall care of patients Collaborating with the care team to ensure the best patient outcomes License and Certification Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire Education RN-Associate’s Degree, or RN-Bachelor’s Degree, or RN-Diploma, or RN-Master’s Degree Unit Description This is a 24-bed unit where we care for patients with a variety of healthcare needs. We are the designated Stroke Unit. We provide care for respiratory compromised patients on Bipap, high-flo and/or chronic long-term vents. We manipulate and titrate vasoactive infusions and have bedside monitors. We provide care for patients with DKA, CHF, Pneumonia, and more.
