Daily Responsibilities:

As a Construction Estimator at Buchanan Company, Inc., you will play a vital role in our project development process. This position is essential for ensuring accurate cost assessments and effective project management, contributing to our mission of delivering high-quality products and services. 

Responsibilities 

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects involving rubbish and linen chutes. 

• Analyze project plans and specifications to determine necessary resources and labor. 

• Collaborate with project managers to develop budgets and timelines. 

• Negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors to secure favorable terms. 

• Utilize estimating and software for accurate calculations. 

• Provide support during the bidding process by preparing bid proposals. 

Qualifications 

• Proven experience in construction estimating multi-family and commercial fields. 

• Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices. 

• Excellent project management skills with a focus on detail-oriented tasks. 

• Familiarity with estimating and project management software. 

• Ability to communicate and negotiate effectively with contractors and suppliers. 

• Strong analytical skills to interpret blueprints and specifications accurately. 

• Excellent communication skills for collaboration with team members and clients.

• Associate (Required)

Experience: 

• Subcontractor Estimating: 5 years (Required) 

• Multifamily Construction Estimating for Sub’s: 4 years 

Salary and Benefits:

• Minimum Salary: $65,000.00
• Maximum Salary: $85,000.00
