Outpatient Physical Therapist

Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist will evaluate assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify treatment plans based on the patients' needs, goals, and physician directives. This role entails the delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring the design of functional treatment programs that facilitate effective community reintegration. Additionally, the therapist will serve as an educator for patients, families, students, coworkers, and themselves, while upholding compliance with the organization's Code of Conduct and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop appropriate treatment plans and goals.
• Document patient care in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner while complying with state, federal, and organizational guidelines.
• Provide care under valid physician orders and ensure alignment with insurance approvals as necessary.
• Participate in student programs as assigned, offering a positive learning environment and appropriate supervision.
• Create and actively manage a professional development plan, pursuing continuing education and professional growth opportunities.
• Adhere to state practice acts and maintain professional licensure in good standing, complying with continuing education requirements.
• Contribute to performance improvement initiatives and provide feedback for enhancing service quality.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• 1+ years of outpatient clinical experience.
• Current CPR certification.

Schedule

This position is scheduled for 5 days a week, totaling 40 hours.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
