Plasma Center Paramedic - EMT-P

The Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) supports plasma center operations, reporting to the Plasma Center Manager. About the role Medical Support Specialist determines donor eligibility, manages donor adverse events, reviews laboratory results, and communicates adverse findings to donors. Responsibilities Determine donor eligibility (informed consent, medical interview, physical exam, blood testing, SPE). Monitor donor reactions and follow SOPs for medical emergencies. Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for medical or technical issues. Support Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees. Manage employee incidents and refer to occupational health/ER as needed. Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS, supporting investigations. Qualifications High school diploma or graduate of a recognized nursing program with state requirements. Currently licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned: EMT‑Paramedic. Current CPR and AED certification. Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy. Complete FDA approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist. Two years in a clinical or hospital setting. Compensation and Benefits U.S. hourly wage range: $24.32 – $33.44.
