Hematology/Oncology Opportunity

Medical Center is growing with the addition of an employed, Full-time BC/BE Hematologist/Oncologist to strengthen our established team. Those who are currently practicing or are currently in training can be considered. Community based practice with full range of hematology and oncology cases. A vibrant clinical research program with two research nurses oversees a clinical trial portfolio of approximately 20-30 studies at any time. The team serves solely as a consulting service; admissions and discharges are handled by PCPs and hospitalists. Region's only cancer program associated with an NCI designated Comprehensive Cancer Center and is the only ACR and ACOS COC certified program in southern New Mexico. Spanish speaking preferred. Accredited by The Joint Commission (TJC), Medical Center is a licensed 298-bed acute care facility. The hospital offers a full range of comprehensive care including the latest in diagnostic, therapeutic and rehabilitative services, both on an inpatient and outpatient basis. Inpatient services include a state-of-the-art Cardiac Care Unit and Cardiac Cath Labs. Outpatient services include a comprehensive cancer program that offers radiation therapy at Ikard Radiation Oncology and medical oncology/hematology at Cancer Center. Additional services are offered, a free-standing outpatient surgery center that offers day surgery, diagnostic imaging and lab services in a convenient customer service-oriented setting. More than 1,300 employees and volunteers work closely with the medical staff, which includes 300 credentialed providers representing a full range of medical specialties.
