Family Law Attorney

We are seeking an experienced, client-focused Associate Attorney to become a key member of our family law practice. This position offers a unique opportunity to handle meaningful and challenging domestic relations matters while working in a supportive, collaborative environment with experienced attorneys and dedicated support staff. The successful candidate will manage their own caseload with the support of a dedicated paralegal, allowing them to focus on client advocacy, litigation strategy, and case resolution. The ideal candidate will have experience in family law litigation, strong advocacy skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional client service. Responsibilities Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategy and litigation. Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, settlement agreements, and other legal documents. Represent clients in family law matters, including divorce, custody, parenting time, child support, paternity, guardianship, and post‑decree proceedings. Manage litigation tasks, including discovery, deposition preparation, evidence gathering, and coordination of witnesses and experts. Attend hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, and trials. Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and experts. Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to develop case strategy and ensure efficient case management. Maintain a high level of professionalism, responsiveness, and client service. Qualifications Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. Active license and good standing with the Indiana Bar. Three or more years of family law experience preferred. Proficiency with legal research platforms such as LexisNexis and Westlaw. Excellent legal writing and analytical skills. Strong negotiation, advocacy, and problem‑solving abilities. Courtroom and litigation experience preferred. Ability to manage multiple matters efficiently and meet deadlines. Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
