AR/AP Specialist (Part-Time)

Role Description This is a part-time, onsite AR/AP Specialist role at International Electronic Machines Corporation in Troy, NY, with the opportunity to transition to a full-time position as the business grows. The Specialist will be responsible for entering invoices, managing Accounts Payable and Receivable, processing Purchase Requisitions, placing orders, processing spare parts orders, and entering and reconciling credit card transactions. Experience in QuickBooks is a must. Qualifications Minimum two years of experience in a small office environment Strong bookkeeping/accounting background required Minimum two years of experience with QuickBooks Desktop is a must Prior A/R and A/P experience a must Work with minimum supervision, be a self‑starter, and perform quality control on his/her work Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access) Experience with managing finance tasks Associate's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Attention to detail and confidentiality required Excellent verbal and written communication skills Basic accounting principles understanding and applied knowledge Highly organized and attentive to detail Able to work with confidential and proprietary information Good attitude with the ability to be self‑motivated and work as part of a team Desired Skills Prior experience with government contracts BA in Accounting/Finance or related 2 or 4‑year college degree – or – Associate or comparable education with exceptional, strong, and demonstrated experience Excellent record‑keeping and documentation‑keeping skills Quick learner, highly motivated, self‑starter, and eager to learn Job Type: Part‑Time 20‑25 hrs/week Pay: $22-$28 per hour based on experience Schedule 7‑hour shift Monday to Wednesday (days are flexible) Paid Sick Time Work Location This is an in‑person position at IEM Headquarters in Troy, NY (remote work is currently not available).
