About This Role The J21 RN - Cardiac Prep and Recovery position involves providing direct nursing care in accordance with established policies and protocols. This role is ideal for nurses who are skilled in patient care and coordination. Highlights Pay: $35.50 - $55.60/hour Location: Cleveland, OH Facility: Cleveland Clinic Department/Unit: Main Campus Hospital Schedule: Full-time, Day shift What You'll Do Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols. Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate. Evaluate, update, and revise plan of care to facilitate achievement of planned outcomes. Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing protocol. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders. Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. Assess educational needs of the patient and significant others considering cultural issues. Provide teaching and educational material as appropriate. Requirements Education: Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing. BSN preferred. Experience: Minimum one year current acute care RN experience in a hospital setting required. Minimum one year current acute care RN experience and/or skilled nursing facility (SNF) experience required for SNF care settings. Minimum one year current acute care RN experience and/or rehab experience required for rehab care settings. Minimum one year current acute care RN experience and/or Emergency Department (ED) experience required for ED settings. Licenses & Certifications: Current state licensure as Registered Nurse (RN). Proof of Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross must be presented upon hire. ACLS certification required if in a Critical Care area. PALS certification required within one year for RNs in Children's Hospital. ONS Chemo/Bio course completed within two years if employed on units where chemo is administered. Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) required upon hire or within 24 months for ED roles.
