Senior Safety Specialist

Ampcus Inc. is a certified global provider of a broad range of Technology and Business consulting services. We are in search of a highly motivated candidate to join our talented team. We are seeking a highly experienced individual to join our team as a Senior Safety Specialist. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience in safety regulations and management, particularly in the context of transitioning facilities from construction to operational phases.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement safety procedures for a new facility.
• Engage with the operating team to ensure a safe startup process.
• Conduct training sessions, approximately 10% of the time.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state safety, fire protection, and OSHA laws.
• Apply full knowledge of fire protection standards and hazardous material/chemical management and transportation.
• Utilize industrial hygiene sampling and surveying techniques.
• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, with strong public speaking and presentation skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of safety experience, ideally related to liquified natural gas operations and/or power station operations.
• Full knowledge of federal and state safety regulations and standards.
• Considerable related experience in safety management.
• High School Diploma required.

• Location: Greensville/Client Storage.
• Position Type: Local.
• Overtime: Required.
• Per Diem Eligibility: Yes.
• This is not a construction-related role, but involves developing safety procedures for the operational phase.
• The candidate may possibly drive a vehicle on behalf of the company.
