This position is responsible for recruiting, interviewing, and guiding prospective students through the admissions process while helping to plan and execute recruitment events that support the school's enrollment goals. The Admissions Counselor provides exceptional customer service and is an ambassador for the school's mission, values, and academic community. Fenwick is a Catholic, co-educational, college prep school providing education for life. Qualified applicants will meet the following criteria: Bachelor's degree preferred. Previous experience in admissions, enrollment management, education, customer service, or sales is preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to connect with students, families, and educational professionals. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Comfortable presenting to groups and representing the school in public settings. Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends for admissions events. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and willingness to learn new software platforms, including Blackbaud Enrollment Management and SEVIS. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for school visits and recruitment events. Essential duties and responsibilities include: Conduct personalized campus tours for prospective students and their families, highlighting Fenwick's academic programs, student life, athletics, and community. Interview prospective students as part of the admissions process and provide recommendations to the Admissions Committee. Guide families through the admissions process, answering questions and providing timely communication from inquiry through enrollment. Learn and utilize the Blackbaud Enrollment Management system to manage applicant records, review application materials, and assist families with completing the online application. Work closely with Fenwick's international partner agencies to recruit, admit, and enroll international students. Coordinate all aspects of international student enrollment through SEVIS, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and maintaining accurate student records. Build and maintain positive relationships with international recruitment partners, educational consultants, and prospective international families. Assist in planning, organizing, and executing admissions events, including Open Houses, Accepted Students Nights, Shadow Days, Placement Testing, Information Sessions, and other recruitment programs. Manage event registration, communication, logistics, staffing, and follow-up for admissions-related events. Represent Fenwick at on-campus and off-campus recruitment events, including middle school visits, high school fairs, and community programs. Develop and maintain relationships with elementary and middle school principals, guidance counselors, teachers, and parish leaders to strengthen enrollment partnerships. Serve as a liaison to prospective families by responding promptly to phone calls, emails, and inquiries. Participate in weekly Admissions Team meetings with the President and Director of Admissions to review enrollment progress, discuss applicant status, and develop recruitment strategies. Assist in tracking admissions data, preparing reports, and maintaining accurate enrollment records. Collaborate with faculty, coaches, student ambassadors, and other departments to support admissions programming and recruitment initiatives. Support additional enrollment management and admissions initiatives as assigned. Additional responsibilities include: Supervise upperclassmen students in the Learning Commons as they work independently on school assignments. Ensure a positive and productive environment in the Learning Commons for any student or staff member who stops in.
