Senior Systems Engineer - Azure / Infrastructure

We are looking for a Senior Infrastructure / Systems Engineer with strong hands-on experience supporting Windows, Linux, enterprise storage, and cloud/hybrid environments .

This role supports a Federal Law Enforcement program and requires someone who can manage, troubleshoot, secure, and maintain critical infrastructure.

Location: Washington, DC – 100% Onsite

Duration: 6 months + possible extension

Pay: Up to $60.67/hr on W2

US Citizenship: Required

Public Trust: Required before starting

Target Start: October 19, 2026

What we're looking for:

• 3+ years of Windows Server administration – 2016/2019/2022 or newer
• 3+ years of Linux administration – RHEL, Red Hat, Ubuntu, CentOS, etc.
• Hands-on experience with SAN, NAS, RAID, LUNs, and enterprise storage
• Experience with Active Directory and Group Policy
• Experience with backup & disaster recovery solutions such as Veeam, Commvault, or NetBackup
• Experience with VMware or Hyper-V
• Knowledge of system monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Nagios, or Zabbix
• Strong understanding of system security, access controls, patching, and hardening
• Experience troubleshooting complex infrastructure/system issues
• Azure or hybrid-cloud experience is highly preferred
• Linux scripting/automation with Ansible, Puppet, or Chef is a plus
