A lab within the Institute is seeking an Associate Research Scientist who will facilitate research by investigating the neural circuit representations of social and non-social experiences in rodents. In this role, you will design, implement, and document an end-to-end pipeline for source segmentation and calcium trace extraction from 1 P micro endoscopic imaging data. You will systematically evaluate validated CNMF-E approaches, establish performance metrics using a gold-standard dataset, and integrate automated good/bad component classification. The primary final deliverable will be a flexible, well-documented pipeline with a clear READ ME that can accommodate extensions and be reused across future Salzman lab 1 P datasets. The ideal candidate will have expertise in visually guided behavior and strong computational skills, as well as superior motivation, drive, and demonstrated aptitude for research. Science Magazine
