Department Support Assistant I - Labor & Delivery - Nights - Per Diem

Hourly Pay Range:

$19.31 - $28.00 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Location: Elmhurst, IL

• Per Diem - As needed

• Hours: Nights 7 pm -7:30 am and rotating weekends and rotating holidays

What you will do:

• Admits patients into unit, works with physician offices to schedule procedures, prepares birth certificates, monitors HUGS alarm system, coordinates breast pump rentals.   

• Schedules diagnostic tests and therapies for patients; assembles and maintains patients’ charts, answers telephone and intercom calls; provides routine information and relays calls and messages. 

• Responsible for providing timely and accurate pre-registrations, registrations, and medical information systems.

What you will need:

• High School or GED Required

• Computer knowledge and medical terminology
