Tech - X-ray/Rad Tech

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides mobile X-ray and EKG services to healthcare facilities, including nursing homes, prisons, and other clinics. Ensures high-quality diagnostic images are obtained and properly transmitted for interpretation.

Responsibilities:

• Perform portable X-rays using digital (DR) or computed (CR) radiography equipment and submit images for radiologist review.
• Unload and transport portable radiography equipment to various facilities, ensuring clinically diagnostic images are captured.
• Conduct EKGs as required and transmit results to cardiologists for interpretation.
• Maintain accurate documentation, including billing and exam paperwork, in adherence to protocol.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, management, colleagues, and clients to coordinate tasks.
• Maintain and troubleshoot X-ray and vehicle equipment to ensure operational readiness.

Qualifications:

• Hold current ARRT certification and applicable state radiologic technologist license.
• Possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Demonstrate ability to perform diagnostic radiographs and EKGs accurately.
• Meet physical requirements, including lifting and pushing heavy equipment, up to 100 lbs with accommodations.
• Comply with COVID-19 vaccination or exemption procedures.
• Maintain valid health and operational certifications as required by state and industry standards.
