A bit about us:

AI coding agents are dramatically increasing the rate at which software can be produced, but generating code is only part of the equation. As output grows, validating correctness, identifying defects, and preventing problematic changes from reaching production become increasingly difficult. Software verification is quickly emerging as a critical bottleneck, and addressing it is becoming one of the defining technical challenges of AI-driven development.

The team is well-funded, highly technical, and focused on solving difficult problems with meaningful impact. Ideas are evaluated on their merit, and technical depth is valued over hierarchy. If you're interested in advancing how software is tested, validated, and ultimately trusted, this is the problem space you'd be working in.

Why join us?

Our engineers come from a wide range of backgrounds, including computer science, mathematics, philosophy, and nontraditional paths. What matters isn't the credential. It's the quality of the engineering. We hold managers to that same technical standard, so leadership here remains hands-on. Becoming a manager doesn't mean giving up coding.

We also believe strongly in face-to-face collaboration. Working together in person helps create trust, accelerate knowledge sharing, and make tough problems easier to solve as a team. As a result, this role works from our Northern Virginia office five days a week.

Benefits:

• PTO and paid holidays
• early stage (Series B) equity
• 401k with matching
• comprehensive insurance options for individuals and families
• top of the line engineering hardware and software tooling

Job Details

We're hiring Engineering Managers to help scale our core engineering teams. These are hands-on technical leadership roles, not positions where management replaces engineering. You'll continue writing code, contribute to architecture, and work through difficult technical problems with the engineers you lead. You'll also be responsible for setting direction, developing your team, driving delivery, and maintaining a high engineering bar.

Team placement will be based on fit. Although the problems differ across groups, we're looking for the same qualities in every Engineering Manager: technical depth, strong people leadership, sound judgment, and the ability to execute quickly without compromising critical systems or engineering quality.
