CNC Machinist

CNC Machinist Location: Hampton, VA, US Experience: Mid Level Salary: $30 - $45 per hour Job Details Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and other machining equipment to produce precision components to spec Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications to ensure accurate part production Monitor machining processes and make adjustments to maintain tight tolerances and quality standards Perform in-process inspection using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges Identify and troubleshoot issues with tooling, fixturing, and machining processes to minimize downtime Follow all quality and safety standards and maintain a clean, organized work area Collaborate with programmers, engineers, and other machinists to meet production goals and deadlines Qualifications Minimum 3 years of experience operating CNC mills, lathes, or multi-axis machining equipment Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and engineering specifications Working knowledge of G-code and basic machine offsets Experience using precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, and gauges Strong attention to detail with the ability to hold tight tolerances consistently Familiarity with quality and safety standards in a manufacturing environment Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production setting About Us Founded over 50 years ago and based in Hampton, VA, we are a full-service precision manufacturing company known for delivering exceptional results on everything from small precision components to large-scale industrial projects.
