Senior Associate, Construction Finance

Venture Global LNG (“Venture Global”) is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas. The company’s Louisiana-based export projects service the global demand for North American natural gas and support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies. Using reliable, proven technology in an innovative plant design configuration, Venture Global’s modular, mid-scale plant design will replace traditional designs as it allows for the same efficiency and operational reliability at significantly lower capital cost.We are seeking a Senior Associate for our Construction Finance team. This position will aid the Construction Finance team in budgeting, forecasting, variance reporting and analysis of our multi-billion-dollar capital projects. You will effectively communicate results to senior leaders to enable and enhance decision making. This person will be based in Houston, TX. Responsibilities:Responsible for financial management of specific business area(s)Developing and managing budgetsReporting actualsVariance analysisTrend and forecast updatesLiquidity managementChange managementContract reviewSupplier risk analysisUnderstand and assist with accounting treatmentsProvide data-driven insights to drive business decisionsExecutive level presentations on financial resultsMonthly, quarterly, and annual reportingSupport external reporting requirementsAd-hoc reporting as requestedDevelop relationships with key stakeholders within your business area, including project controls, construction, engineering, development, accounting and leadership, to gather data and align financial goalsContinual process improvement to streamline financial processes, enhance reporting tools, and building financial modelsQualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or relevant field4+ years of experience in Finance, Cost Engineering, Project Controls, Accounting or related fieldDemonstrated analytical and quantitative abilities, and understanding of key financial conceptsAbility to self-direct work in an unstructured, fast paced environment, and comfortable with ambiguityExcellent interpersonal effectiveness with the ability to influence and challengeStrong oral and written communication skills with the ability to simplify complex issues and present key details and conclusionsProactive problem solving mindset to achieve business and financial objectivesAbility to collaborate effectively in a team and build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levelsDemonstrated initiative and ownership of work with strong attention to detailHigh level of ethics, intergrity and emotional intelligence with ability to maintain confidentiallityProficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Financial ModelingWilling to report in office, dailyOccasional travel to construction site(s) or Arlington office will be requiredVenture Global LNG is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
