Location Type: This is an onsite role located in Lake Orion, MI. As a Senior Robotics Process Engineer, you will work with some of the most talented engineers in the automation industry. This role will enable you to perfect your experience while integrating some of the most state-of-the-art robotics & technology available. How You’ll Make an Impact:Teach TCPs, Frames, Loads, DCS (Safety Configuration)Configure robot I/O (including communications)Set up and configure various types of dispense process equipment within paint shop and general assembly applicationsSet up and configure various types of vision equipment including robot mounted as well as floor mounted systemsDevelopment of Offline Programs (OLPs)Develop simulations with one or more platforms for internal and external process validationsUse your exposure to cycle time improvement initiatives to optimize robot applications.Confirmation of robot modelsLead robotics projectsMentor others in the department as applicableNote: This list of responsibilities is inclusive; however, it is intended to be a guideline for activities.What You’ll Bring: Bachelor’s degree in engineering field, associate degree in engineering field7-10 years of related or equivalent experience programming robots and launching robot systems5+ years experience commissioning from scratch to customer standardsPrevious automotive industry experience preferred.Skills You’ll Have:Experience with one or more robot applications: Material Handling, Dispense (Urethane, Sealer, Adhesive, Paint), Welding (Spot, Arc, Laser)Familiar with robot peripheral devices, tool center points, offline programming software, external axis, user frame, etc.Fanuc RoboGuide, Fanuc Vision, Fanuc 2D Vision, 3D Vision, 3DVExperience with robotic and third-party vision systemsOther Details:Willingness to travel 35% - 50% to customer sites and other JR locationsDisclaimer: JR Automation requires candidates to successfully complete a 10-panel drug screen, physical examination, and background check.Company Overview: At JR Automation, A Hitachi Group Company, we discover potential, reimagine limits, and advance industry.
