Position Overview

McKenzie Lawns & landscape is seeking dependable, hardworking individuals to join our Commercial Grounds Maintenance team. This position is responsible for maintaining the appearance, health, and safety of commercial properties through professional landscaping and grounds maintenance services.

Responsibilities

• Perform commercial landscape and grounds maintenance services.
• Operate landscaping equipment safely and efficiently, including:
  • Zero-turn and stand-on mowers
  • Trimmers and edgers
  • Tractors
  • Chainsaws
  • Sprayers
  • Power washers
• Mow, edge, trim, and maintain turf areas.
• Plant, mulch, fertilize, and weed landscape beds.
• Prune shrubs, hedges, and small trees.
• Install and repair sod as needed.
• Assist with irrigation and sprinkler system installation and maintenance.
• Remove debris, rake leaves, and maintain clean job sites.
• Follow all company safety procedures and equipment guidelines.
• Work effectively as part of a team while maintaining high-quality standards.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 25 years of age .
• Valid driver's license required.
• Clean driving record with:
  • No driver's license suspensions.
  • No excessive traffic violations.
  • No chargeable accidents involving moving violations within the past 6-8 years.
• Landscaping, lawn maintenance, irrigation, or groundskeeping experience preferred.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding work throughout the day.
• Reliable transportation and strong attendance record.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.
