Agricultural Equipment Operator

The seasonal agricultural worker will prepare fields for planting; attach farm implements such as plows, discs, sprayers, and harvesters to tractors using bolts and hand tools; operate tractors, planters, sprayers, seed drills, manure spreaders, combines, irrigation equipment, and other farm machinery; perform planting, weeding, spraying, cultivating, and harvesting activities; fertilize and spray crops by applying fertilizer and pesticide solutions with hand sprayers to control insects, fungus, weeds, and diseases; install, maintain, and repair pivot irrigation systems; observe and listen to machinery during operation to detect malfunctions; and inspect, adjust, maintain, and perform routine repairs on farm equipment and machinery. Employer may provide pay increases for performance, longevity and/or experience at employer’s discretion, Employer may provide performance bonuses at the end of the contract at the employer’s discretion. Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range) Meals: The employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities and space for food preparation, as well as the necessary equipment, appliances (including refrigeration),cooking accessories, and dish washing facilities (e.g., adequate sinks with hot and cold water under pressure) that are in working condition and will be used by workers to sufficiently prepare three (3) meals a day. Employer will offer free transportation to town for personal services (i.e. banking, groceries) at least once per week for non range workers. Transport: The employer will pay the worker for reasonable costs incurred by the worker for transportation and daily subsistence from the place from which the worker has come to work for the employer, whether in the U.S. or abroad to the place of employment (inbound/outbound). The employer will permit workers to select any means of transportation they choose and reimburse workers at no less than the most economical and reasonable common carrier transportation charges for the distances involved. Experience wanted: 3 months Three (3) months of previous verifiable experience completing these job duties is required. The job requires extensive sitting or walking, frequent stooping or bending, repetitive movements, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. A regular drivers license is required. The employer will conduct post-hire drug testing at no cost to the employee to enforce a drug-free workplace policy; failure to pass a drug test may result in termination. The employer will also conduct post-hire criminal background checks at no cost to the employee and, as permitted by law and consistent with workplace safety policies and company hiring practices, will not employ individuals with felony or theft-related criminal convictions. #J-18808-Ljbffr H2ajobs
