Job Title Certified Medical Assistant (PRN) Assignment Works at MUSC Community Physicians (MCP) in Horry County, South Carolina. The role supports a decentralized, patient‑centered approach to care within the rural health network. Key Responsibilities Interview patients and record medical history. Measure vital signs such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height, and enter data into the patient’s medical record. Assist physicians in the examination and treatment of patients. Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations. Perform basic computer tasks and maintain annual competencies. Observe patients accurately and follow detailed instructions in the execution of therapeutic procedures. Communicate effectively in writing and verbally with patients, staff, and management. Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of an accredited medical assisting program (preferred). One year of patient care experience preferred. Required Certifications and Licensure Certified through AMT, AAMA, NHA, MedCA, CCMA, CMA, or NAHP. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA BLS or AHA‑equivalent, or Red Cross CPR/AED). Skills and Abilities Strong verbal and written communication. Ability to interpret and follow detailed instructions. Accurate physical observation of patients.
