Legal Assistant - Criminal Law

Job Description

An established Myrtle Beach law firm seeks a legal assistant to assist Criminal Defense Attorneys and paralegals.

QUALIFICATIONS:

2+ Years of experience in a law firm setting.
Experience with multi-line switchboard.
Criminal law exposure is a plus.
Dictation/Transcription and able to type 60+ wpm.
Proficient in Microsoft office.
Calendaring and arranging for meetings.
Create and edit legal documents.
Assemble and maintain client files.
Legal case management software experience; Fast Case, PACER, Clio, or Rocket Matter is a plus.
Answer phones in a professional and welcoming tone.
Meet with potential clients and existing clients.
Able to work closely with other staff members and attorneys.
