FULL-TIME ROTATE

The Security Manager plans and directs the personal, financial and operational activities for the security operations within facility. The Security Manager ensures a safe and secure working environment for all facility employees, patients, visitors and physicians in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements. Other related duties as assigned. Qualifications MINIMUM EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in law enforcement, security management, criminal justice or a discipline requiring high levels of communication and analytical skill, or equivalent combination of education and/or related experience. MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Three or more years in a progressively more responsible leadership role. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE : Prefer experience in a law enforcement, prior security or military role. REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Requires the ability to obtain, and maintain, appropriate state license/certifications for this position.

• Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) within 60 days of employment or transfer date into the department;
• Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have AHA HealthcareProvider BLS within 60 days of hire..
• Must maintain a valid state driver’s license.
• Is able to meet all associated DPS Company Representative requirements in accordance with the Texas Commission onPrivate Security within 60 days of hire.

OTHER POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to perform continuous physical exertion activities (going up and down multiple flights of stairs, standing and walkingfor extended periods of time, carrying people in emergency situations, etc.), as needed.
• Must meet all physical requirements of the job. This could require an annual physical;
• Must be able to perform duties wearing personal protective equipment (Masks, gowns, security-related equipment, etc.), asrequired;
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check, as well as an annual background check;
• Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the publicin a professional and effective manner.
• Ability to use initiative and independent judgment;
• Ability to frequently prepare written reports and provide quality customer service;
• Ability to handle both common and crisis situations, calmly and efficiently; Must have a working knowledge of, or ability toquickly learn, security software/CCTV/alarm technologies as well as access control systems;
• Strong working knowledge of pertinent law, investigations, and law enforcement community;
• Ability to manage complex projects including managing to a project timeline, acquiring and allocating resources, ensuringquality deliverables, effective communication, and program management.
