Job Title

Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Location

Kalamazoo, MI | Stepdown/PCU

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights (3x12 Hours, 19:00–07:30) | Every other weekend required | Up to 26 weeks | 36 or 48 hours per week available

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a stepdown/med-surg unit with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Perform IV starts and administer medications using Sigma IV pumps
• Document patient care using EPIC electronic health records
• Float to other med-surg areas, including acute and emergency settings, to care for med-surg patients as needed
• Monitor and assess patient vitals using Welch Allyn vital sign towers

Required Qualifications

• Valid Michigan RN License
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• NIH Stroke Scale certification
• Minimum 2 years of PCU/Stepdown experience
• IV start proficiency required
• Must be available and present for the first two weeks of assignment; block scheduling cannot be accommodated
• Locals accepted; no radius restrictions

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Oncology (ONC) experience is a plus
• Chemotherapy administration experience preferred
