What the Hiring Manager Wants

• Research-minded data scientist, not just a model user

• Evidence of owning and designing ML solutions from scratch

• Strong problem-solving framework and structured thinking

• Ability to articulate the logic behind every major project decision

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in insurance, risk management, fraud detection, or claims analytics

• Experience with claim severity modeling or risk scoring

• Experience with record linkage, entity resolution, or fuzzy matching

• Familiarity with AWS, SageMaker, Snowflake, or similar platforms

• Experience supporting BI/reporting tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.)

• Familiarity with MLOps practices (model versioning, monitoring, retraining)

Data Environment

• Large volume of unstructured, largely unlabeled data

• Limited identifiers available, making traditional supervised learning difficult

-Candidate should have experience working with messy, incomplete enterprise datasets

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Chicago, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100.00 - $115.00/hr.
