Description

American Traveler seeks a Radiation Therapist for a 13-week outpatient cancer center assignment requiring 1+ year experience and current BLS certification.

Details

• Freestanding outpatient cancer treatment facility providing radiation therapy and cancer rehabilitation
• Utilizes CyberKnife radiosurgery system
• Day shift schedule from 07:00 to 15:30
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Current BLS certification (AHA required)
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Radiation Therapist
• License required if applicable
• Current license with primary source verification required within 30 days prior to assignment start
• Ability to accurately position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters

Additional Information

• Administer radiation therapy by exposing prescribed areas of the patient's body to radiation doses
• Prepare and position patients and collaborate with physicians and dosimetrists on treatment plans
• Maintain detailed records of therapy sessions and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
• Maintain and adjust equipment including the linear accelerator
• Ensure high-quality image and documentation submission to PACS
• Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly department including procedure rooms and storage areas
• Accepts local candidates, though a radius rule may apply affecting pay rate
• Open to first-time travelers with appropriate experience

Hours per shift: 8
