Family Service Worker

The Family Service Worker position will work closely with the Family Service Manager and the Center Manager to ensure that program requirements and goals are met and that exceptional services are provided. Responsibilities include:Serving as a liaison and advocate for the families by tapping into the various community resources that can assist with a family’s needs.Generating and maintaining family service files in accordance with programmatic guidelines.Facilitating monthly parent meetings.Assisting with outcome reporting.Education and ExperienceAssociate Degree in Social Work, Social Services, Human Services OR Family Development CredentialHigh School Diploma and two (2) years’ work experience in a related area required.Bi-lingual candidate preferred (Spanish & English speaking)Knowledge and Abilities:Ability to use abstract reasoning, problem solving, planning and analytical skillsEffective interpersonal and oral communication skillsAbility to present a positive image of the organization to members of the communityAbility to work well with young children and adults from various socio-economic and ethnic backgrounds; providing guidance to foster their optimum developmentAbility to prepare reports that are clear, complete, and comprehensiveAbility to respond positively to Child Abuse/Neglect clearance check and criminal records check. #J-18808-Ljbffr Wateree-Community-Actions,-In
